The National Bank of Serbia (Narodna banka Srbije, NBS) is the central bank of Serbia. The primary objective of the National Bank of Serbia is to achieve and maintain price stability. Without prejudice to its primary objective, the Bank also contributes to the safeguarding and strengthening of the stability of the financial system.The National Bank of Serbia is independent and autonomous in fulfilling its functions stipulated by the Law on the National Bank of Serbia and other legislation, and is accountable for its work to the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia.
